Cooper Goen
My name is Cooper Goen and I am a sophomore Sports Broadcasting Major and Spanish minor at TCU. I am from Georgetown, Texas. My family consists of myself, my mom and dad, and my younger sister Cate (17). I am a part of the TCU baseball team as a bullpen catcher so that takes up most of my time. I am a die hard New York Mets, Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Cowboys fan. I love country music and the state of Texas. I hope to someday be a broadcaster and do play-by-play on either TV or radio.
After a semester of studying the 1960s, I have seen just how much change and cultural shifting occurred. This decade was full of people, events and media that had significant impacts on the future. One of the biggest impacts I studied over my three works was the impact that television had on politics and why the 1960 presidential debate was so important. This is just one of the many ways the 1960s was the most influential time periods ever.
